Ben joined Stone and Christy in October of 2021 after practicing at Pisgah Legal Services for nine years.  Ben maintains a general practice including estate planning, real estate matters and general civil litigation. Ben enjoys finding practical solutions to difficult legal problems.  Ben graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2010 as a member of the Order of the Samaritan.  Ben first came to North Carolina to attend Guilford College in Greensboro where he graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy and as a 4 time letter winner on Guilford’s varsity tennis team.

After graduating law school, Ben returned to North Carolina in 2010 and practiced criminal law in the Triangle for two years. In 2012, Ben joined Pisgah Legal Services and served clients in a wide variety of legal issues in Pisgah Legal’s Rutherford County office until 2014. Ben became the program director for Pisgah Legal’s Homelessness Prevention Project in 2015, a role he served in until joining Stone and Christy.  Ben has served as a member of the local bar’s Pro Bono Committee and continues to serve as a volunteer attorney through Pisgah Legal’s volunteer lawyer program.  In his private time, Ben enjoys working in his yard, fishing, picking his guitar, watching SEC football and mostly, being a dad.
